Benefits of Membership

Sixty-four years after our founding, we continue to welcome art lovers and artists in all media, of all ages, from all parts of Watertown and beyond.

Members of the Watertown Art Association have the opportunity to:

  • exhibit their work in the Annual Members Exhibit, as well as at other local venues
  • showcase their work on the WAA website
  • participate in programs, demonstrations, and social events
  • support artistically talented students at Watertown High School
  • become an active part of a lively community of artists and art lovers

Members receive a monthly newsletter (September – June), which includes information about the free demonstrations by professional artists that WAA sponsors on Saturday afternoons.

What Our Members Are Saying

“WAA has a dynamic leadership.  Through their efforts, we have a well-planned calendar for the year which includes  monthly activities and an end-of-the-year “judged” show.”

Nancy Harris

“I want to tell you that I liked that presentation yesterday.  I learned something from her (Marilyn Kahn).  It gave me some new ideas. Thank you!”

Edwina Walsh

“I felt the need for a new approach to my art work. When a friend told me about the demonstrations being offered at the Arsenal Place by the WAA I decided to attend. It was just what I needed to get jump started again. I joined immediately and am glad to be part of this group of artists.”
Anna Lewdansky

“Thank you for your help, consult and support with my display at the Brigham House.  I’m so glad you and many of the other members were able to attend the exhibit.  Looking forward to a great year for WAA!”
Cara Marcus

“In the Watertown Art Association I find camaraderie with an emphasis on art friendships. We are encouraged to present our work, to expand our talents and to learn from other artists, including professionals.”
